This video serves as a training module for CapLinked administrators, demonstrating the process for downloading files and folders from the platform's Virtual Data Room (VDR).
Steps to download content:
- Select items: Navigate to the Files tab. The download button will remain grayed out until you select specific folders or individual files (0:06-0:26).
- Configure download settings: Once items are selected, click the Download button. A view will appear displaying the file count, total size, and page count. You can opt to receive an email notification upon completion for large downloads and choose to convert non-PDF files into the PDF format (0:31-0:54).
- Finalize and save: Click the blue Download button to stage the files as a ZIP archive in the Download tab. Once staged, click the download button again to save the files to your local device (0:54-1:09).
Key Considerations:
- Permissions: While the process for administrators and general users is largely the same, administrators have full access to the files. For standard users, if Digital Rights Management (DRM) is enabled, the system may automatically convert documents to PDFs to protect them (1:13-1:35).
