Step 05: Adding Disclaimers

You can choose to present a disclaimer document, such as a Non-Disclosure Agreement or confidentiality agreement, as users enter the virtual data room. This video from the CapLinked Administrator Training series walks through uploading a disclaimer, configuring how and when it's shown, and how administrators can track signed acknowledgements.

Key Steps to Add a Disclaimer:

• Upload the document: Navigate to the Settings tab, open Manage Disclaimers, click New Disclaimer, and drag and drop your NDA or confidentiality file into the system. (0:15-0:37)
• Configure the rules: Decide whether users acknowledge the disclaimer once or every visit, assign different disclaimers to different members, and optionally turn on a signature requirement from the General tab. (0:45-1:14)
• Review acceptance: Users must type their full name and check a box to accept before entering the workspace, and admins can review every signed disclaimer under Files > Quick Views > Signed Disclaimers. (1:18-1:46)
